Are there any differences to be explained about mantles of, say, snails and squids? To my uneducated view, I would expect some. Mikkalai 20:40, 5 Feb 2005 (UTC)

Firstly, it is a squid (ten legs) not an octopus (eight legs) ;-). Secondly, squids are typically 75% mantle (including viscera) and 25% head/legs. Lycaon (talk) 11:10, 14 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
