"Intellectual property" can be a loaded word. Is there any reason we don't simply say "...now belongs to Hewlett-Packard."?

Also, I don't really care for the expression "became known as Digital Unix". That makes it sound like the users decided to call it that. IIRC, Digital simply renamed it. Is my memory right? Why not simply "and renamed 'Digital Unix'."?

Good points - I also tinkered to make it flow a little better; notabilities to lead, and more of a continuous narrative for history. Earlier writers probably found it hard to explain, because both OSF/1 and Dunix existed simultaneously. Stan 13:21, 9 Oct 2004 (UTC)
