Merge proposal[edit]

I do not see much difference between Haeso and Hwanghae Province. In Korean Wikipedia, there is just one article. I propose to merge Haeso here. Викидим (talk) 22:43, 20 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Tentative support – the overlap is indeed pretty strong. We have separate articles for other regions of Korea, so I'll be a little sad to lose this one out of a sense of completeness. Not sure what merged article should look like. 211.43.120.242 (talk) 00:13, 22 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
IMHO it will be like the article in Korean: it will describe the geography once and mention that the historical name is Haeso, with possibly a paragraph on the name (if this information can be found). I can be OK with keeping an independent article if sources can be found that do not pretty much say that "Haeso is now called ..." or " Hwanghae Province (used to be called Haeso)...".
