Adding the weight of the bell to the infobox at the top of the article
[edit]The info box is there to give people answers to frequently sought questions and a basic fact based overview. It already has listed the height, the weight, the material, and other things but the weight is not listed. I feel like the coordinates and the bell type are less major information than the weight. The info box already has a parameter at the bottom of the infobox labeled extra so maybe that could be used for the weight although it seems like it would fit better either under the type of bell or the height parameters. I am not sure how to edit this field and was told that editing info boxes can effect multiple other articles so I am asking for help from someone who knows more about this than I do, thank you! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 73.93.153.139 (talk) 10:20, 13 March 2020 (UTC)
- Weight seems like a good infobox-inclusion to me. Because of the extra-parameter I can't make it look like the others, but at least it's there for now. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 15:17, 13 March 2020 (UTC)
- I've proposed addition of
|extra_label=
at Template talk:Infobox monument#extra label and will add it barring objection after a couple of days. —[AlanM1 (talk)]— 22:36, 13 March 2020 (UTC)

How tall is it, though?
[edit]But really, how tall is it? (also, what is the size of the crack?)

Replicas
[edit]I've asked about a couple Liberty Bell replicas in Salt Lake City here, and now I'm wondering if we should create a List of Liberty Bell replicas with current locations, other important notes, etc. Thoughts? ---Another Believer (Talk) 19:25, 23 May 2021 (UTC)

Confusing Passage
[edit]I find the following passage confusing: "The first media mention of the bell's crack is in 1846. Nine years later, in February 1846, the Public Ledger reported that the bell was rung the day following Washington's Birthday, on February 23, 1846."
1846 is not 9 years later than 1846. Is this an error, or am I reading it wrong? Odd error for a featured article if it is one. 149.20.204.94 (talk) 22:21, 12 November 2024 (UTC)
- Fixed. Someone added what amounts to a bad introductory sentence. Wehwalt (talk) 00:04, 13 November 2024 (UTC)
