NPOV: As far as I know, "crack babies" aren't some right-wing myth out of the 80's, but I will defer to anyone who can add more substantive information to this page.

NPOV ?

[edit]

There doesn't seem to be much of a dispute about this article. I changed what I thought was a bit POV : "Also arising at this time was the scary "welfare queen" as part of a coordinated attack on the mainstreaming of Black culture, especially during the Reagan administration." - "coordinated attack" doesn't seem very neutral, though something citing sources (either way) would be nice

If there's no objection, I'll remove the tag in a couple of days :) Flammifer 01:56, 23 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

After looking through several pages of google, I found no indication of crack babies being more than "some right-wing myth out of the 80's" - I just couldn't find any reference to it as otherthing than a myth. So, the article seems NPOV enough to me, though it can still be improved. I removed the tag. Flammifer 17:19, 24 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Hmm, can't find anything substantiating it - and I've always taken it for granted, knowing people who's birth defects were attributed to their mothers' use of cocaine during pregnancy. 21:08, 29 June 2006 (UTC)

Coke Babies redirect

[edit]

Are coke babies the same thing as crack babies? I think they are, and maybe someone should put I redirect in. If not then don't put a redirect in.

Weasel words

[edit]

The following portion of a sentence is compromised by the use of weasel words:

"The term crack babies enjoyed a brief heyday when commentators, especially White conservatives, sought to highlight..."

It needs specific examples/citations to remedy this. - Mark 12:07, 19 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
