I'm not sure I understand the title Scrisori pe portativ. I've guessed "Portable writers". Can someone translate more confidently? -- Jmabel | Talk 23:16, Dec 23, 2004 (UTC)

"Portativ" actually means a musical stave and "scrisori" letters (as in written messages, not characters). (BTW I was just going to write this and I got an edit conflict :) Bogdan | Talk 23:20, 23 Dec 2004 (UTC)
Ooh, forgot that meaning of "portativ", spaced out on the meaning of "scrisori", hope I got most of the rest of the translations right. Every so often I'm reminded that my Romanian is not fluent. -- Jmabel | Talk 23:43, Dec 23, 2004 (UTC)

Recently added: "Israil Bercovici claims that the Danse Macabre originated among Sephardic Jews in 14th century Spain (Bercovici, 1992, p. 27)." Entirely true—I put it in the article Danse Macabre myself—but I'm not sure its useful here. Usually when writing about someone who is cited heavily around Wikipedia, in the article about the author we don't list everything that we cited them saying. I guess this is harmless; I'm not sure it's useful. -- Jmabel | Talk 00:22, July 21, 2005 (UTC)

Old comment, but I removed that line. It seemed out of place.Dan Carkner (talk) 18:22, 12 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
