It wasn't the engines that had frozen which caused the Air Florida crash. It was ice build up on the airframe itself, due to extreme lag between the routine deicing and takeoff. Additionally, the pitot tube (small tube extending from the body of the airplane for the purpose of determining aircraft airspeed) was blocked due to the ice, and thus the pilots did not have proper airspeed indication.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 63.25.104.125 (talk) 23:18, 14 December 2002

Howard Stern's comments

About the Relaunch

I can not find any further informations about the relaunch. The website didn't came up, and the twitter account of Air Florida was also deleted. Anybody got news about it? So sad... --NewtypedivisionTalk 10:37, 6 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
