Nova Luzitânia (Portuguese for "New Lusitania") is a municipality in the state of São Paulo in Brazil. The population is 4,160 (2020 est.) in an area of 73.82 km2 (29 sq mi).[2] The elevation is 420 m (1,378 ft).
The town is characterized by its small population and modest area, contributing to its tight-knit community atmosphere. Agriculture plays a significant role in the local economy, with major crops including sugarcane, corn, and soybeans. [edit]In telecommunications, the city was served by Companhia de Telecomunicações do Estado de São Paulo until 1975, when it began to be served by Telecomunicações de São Paulo.[3] In July 1998, this company was acquired by Telefónica, which adopted the Vivo brand in 2012.[4]
The company is currently an operator of cell phones, fixed lines, internet (fiber optics/4G) and television (satellite and cable).[4]
