Native Range

Is it really thought to be from the west of the Andes, as stated, which is an arid region? It (or something very similar) is a traditional crop of the Shuar, in the south-east of Ecuador, in the Amazon, on the EAST of the Andes. Bio-CLC (talk) 11:30, 31 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Iron content

The iron content (1.1g/100g) must be a joke. This is enough to cause a serious iron poisoning. For comparison, beef liver contains "only" 6.3mg of iron per 100g. Does anybody have a more credible figure?
