How to request a new spoken article?[edit]

How is the best way to go about requesting a new spoken article that will get the most attention in hopes someone will create one? The written article in question already has a spoken article but it's from 2010, so obviously the article in question has changed a lot since then. As such I don't think it would fall under a spoken article request, as this seems to be for pages that don't already have a spoken version (although I may be wrong here so clarification would be helpful). Also, the original uploader has been inactive on Wikipedia and other related projects for years, so I can't ask them to make a new version, nor do I think I'm comfortable recording myself. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks. Helper201 (talk) 04:55, 12 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Helper201, if Category:Spoken Wikipedia requests doesn't get enough attention you could post the name of the article here or ask on a relevsnt WikiProject. You will find a list of WikiProjects on the article's talk page. Commander Keane (talk) 17:51, 17 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Andrée's Arctic balloon expedition[edit]

I have nominated Andrée's Arctic balloon expedition for a featured article review here. Please join the discussion on whether this article meets the featured article criteria. Articles are typically reviewed for two weeks. If substantial concerns are not addressed during the review period, the article will be moved to the Featured Article Removal Candidates list for a further period, where editors may declare "Keep" or "Delist" in regards to the article's featured status. The instructions for the review process are here. Z1720 (talk) 22:42, 12 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Articles that need voice over?[edit]

Hi there, I think I am in the right place? I want to help do audio voiceover, and have experience in reading scripts and recording audiobooks, and would love to help. I would appreciate any and all pointers to say, a list of where I can find articles that need voice over or have been requested, nothing too big, nothing too small. thanks, have a wonderful day. Hi CoffeeEnjoyerz, sorry I should have given you a more thorough answer on the Help desk. You are welcome to record any article you like. Category:Spoken Wikipedia requests has some ideas. But, if you are looking for some high quality text I would recommend Wikipedia:Database reports/Featured articles by size - scroll to the bottom of the list to find something not too long. Just pick one that peaks your interest, and check the top right of the article to see if it has already been recorded. Commander Keane (talk) 17:48, 17 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
