Logo Used

[edit]

Can we get the original logo up there. That was classic. The new one just wasn't quite the same. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.235.221.33 (talk) 04:59, 15 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It should be pointed out that this was the worst period in NBA history. Jordan won all of his 6, Phil won all of his 9 coaching, championships in the NBC era. Any coincidence? -Amit

Origin of Opening

[edit]

When was the NBA on NBC open first used (you know, with the beams of light forming the peacock)? If it did indeed begin in 1990, then that would be saying a lot about the animation of that era! 71.111.232.40 22:10, 20 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It was futuristic animation... that's what made the NBA on NBC so great. Seriously, even some of the graphics in the late 90's seemed ahead of their time, as no other network really had 3-D transitions between replays. The graphics were always crisp and clean with NBC Sports, and not overdone. The font they used was perfect too. I always thought to myself, if I were to setup a broadcast with graphics, I'd choose NBC's naturally. Amazing. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.235.221.33 (talk) 04:12, 11 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

"The" NBA on NBC?

[edit]

Just curious as to where "The" is used as an official title. Every instance I see is strictly NBA on NBC. --Zimbabweed 01:14, 19 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fan Support section

[edit]

This section is unreferenced, poorly written and punctuated, and adds very little value to the article. I propose it be deleted entirely. If someone wants to put together a coherent, researched new section on the same topic, be my guest. The current one should probably go. Franklin Bynum 04:54, 3 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I am Marv Albert. I miss the NBA on NBC. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.235.221.33 (talk) 04:10, 11 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Easily the greatest sports telecast in the history of western civilization. Someone build a time machine so we can go back and live the glory days. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.235.221.33 (talk) 04:57, 15 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I miss the NBA on NBC. Life just isn't the same without it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 192.237.29.125 (talk) 20:55, 22 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned references in NBA on NBC

[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of NBA on NBC's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 03:43, 29 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
