Commons images not CSD eligible

[edit]

Hi. I have noticed you have placed a number of speedy delete requests on images that have been copied to Commons. By policy, such images cannot be speedy deleted. Please make such image deletions requests on Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion where they will be deleted in 7 days unless objections are raised. The only possible exceptions to this policy are those where you have uploaded to the English Wiki, no one has made any changes to the image description page and the image is not being used in an article. Thanks. RedWolf 03:53, Mar 31, 2005 (UTC)

Bulimia nervosa

[edit]

Sorry about that. Looking at the page history, it looks like 70.25.231.45 added the pt interwiki at exactly the same time as I was reverting. JeremyA 02:19, 26 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Your bot

[edit]

I have approved your bot to run on the English Wikipedia. If no one complains any problems about the bot after one week, you may apply for bot status for your bot. --AllyUnion (talk) 07:15, 18 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Of course! And other matters

[edit]

Claro que tens razão na colocação de interwikis, Nuno Tavares. Sou bastante novo na wikipédia e ainda não mecanizei todos os procedimentos. Prometo tentar. Participa como the aprover! The Ogre 11:09, 19 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Bot

[edit]

Hello. NTBot is now flagged as a bot. If you need this flag removed, or if you change this bot to do something other than what it has been approved to do, please ask for this at meta:requests for permissions. Angela. 10:33, 25 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

timeline

[edit]

hi Nuno -- I am afraid I have given up on the Migration age timeline; I fiddled with it, but it wouldn't do what I wanted, so I left it lying around. I would still have to come up with a decent colour coding. Maybe you could improve the English one before porting? (Maybe I will get back to it but I don't know when). I don't know about the font issues, as I said, I couldn't cope with the format at the time and walked away... best regards, dab () 08:30, 25 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Katilce

[edit]

Oh, come on Nuno, even here? You don't have an orkut account do you :D ? Anyway, I think that, altought it's a very stupid thing that happended, it's not vanity page, it's not a garage band... I just don't get why people like to delete things so much... (yeah, I know, I'm allways trying to keep every crap that show up... oh well) algumacoisaqq 01:53, 28 February 2006 (UTC) Ps. by the way, what's a cyphergoth??[reply]

Yeah, I know, but what upset me was the fact that, besides the whole Katilce thing being a somewhat stupid movement of people in orkut, I just don't see why there isn't a reason to keep this article over here. I just think people vote based on their opinion on the subject, and not the enciclopedic value of the subject. I mean, I had to defend a porn film back at pt.wikipedia... beacuse people didn't understood what was the article about. Back at Katilce, I believe most of the people who voted don't know what is going on, what the article is about. I tought about fixing the Katilce article myself (in part, if they don't know what it is about, it's because the article isn't explaining it to them), but to be honest, i didn't want to edit that article. algumacoisaqq 02:55, 28 February 2006 (UTC) Just as a side note, when I said people didn't voted on enciclopedic value, but on their opinion, I was talking about most of the voting people over there, wicth didn't included you. You were right tought, as I had no reason to state that other than my own opinion. algumacoisaqq 14:01, 28 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Portal de Portugal

[edit]

Gameiro 19:47, 28 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

portuguese bomb articles

[edit]

I noticed that you added interwiki links for GBU-10 and others, and when I checked out the portuguese articles, they had much more information. I don't speak the language, but I think it would be very helpful if you could translate them into english and include them in the appropriate places. I'll help you with any copyediting if you need it. Night Gyr 01:22, 8 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, you could say I'm the lead developer, although AySz88 has been doing a lot of the code lately too. Unfortunately, I don't use IM systems for Wikipedia-related issues; however, I am available at #editcounter in freenode IRC, if you have access to it. Sure, it was Joshbuddy, although he had just made it as a proposal, IIRC. You may want to ask him where all that ended. Titoxd(?!? - help us)

SOAP and mediawiki

[edit]

I never even got started with it. The last two months I have been bogged down with work, and until very recently, haven't had any time for fun coding projects.

But a tawkerbot2 re-write is DEFINITELY on my mind, and SOAP would be necessary for that plan to happen. I'm attempting to get re-involved with wikipedia again though, so I'd be happy to hash out the details with you via email. If writing a soap interface sounds like fun to you, definitely drop me a line and we can figure out how to go forward with it. joshbuddytalk 21:37, 23 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Football tactics

[edit]

I used your football pitch picture to create diagrams of tactics in this article. If it isn't acceptable tell me and I'll take them down. Thanks for making it in the first place though :) --Tiresais 17:21, 10 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Interwiki bot

[edit]

Hi! I noticed that you are listed as running an interwiki bot here. If it is still active, and you are editing alphabetically, please visit WikiProject Interwiki, which I created as a project to coordinate the bots to decrease overlap. If you like the idea, sign up there and visit Wikipedia:WikiProject Council/Proposals#Interwiki to let me know you'll join up. You can also say that you're working on a section in User:ST47/WikiProject Interwiki/Assignments, then follow the directions there when you've finished. If the sections I've made are too large, feel free to split one up. Thanks! ST47Talk 11:42, 12 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed that you signed Wikipedia:WikiProject Council/Proposals#Interwiki. Thanks! I've set up a sample area in my userspace, so if you are actively running the bot. take a look: User:ST47/WikiProject Interwiki ST47Talk 11:09, 13 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This user blocked me in the Portuguese Wikipedia against the rules

[edit]

The rules state clearly that a block forever is only allowable after the community votes on it, yet this young student blocked my account forever. And sice most of the other administrators are his friends, they don't lift the block even though it is against the rules.

Also, I was blocked because I was arguing against votes taken to delete an article which were cast after the voting period had ended.

Albigensian Crusade

[edit]

I'm contacting you out of courtesy as you have contributed to the page and may wish to supply your own citations. If you feel this doesn't matter to you, please ignore it. This page was rated as a Good Article, but has been downgraded because nobody did the donkeywork of listing the attributions to the various statements provided, which is after all a fairly serious dereliction of duty in what's suppoed to be a historical record. Having discussed the withdrawal of GA with LuciferMorgan, I give notice that I am sitting down with the three classic original source texts (Puylaurens, Vaux-de-Cernay and de Tudèle - the last in the Livre de Poche edition as the Martin-Chabot is long out of print) to add the missing inline citations to this page. I do not intend at this point to make any textual alterations, but if comments are made which are NOT justified, be prepared to state your sources now.

Bot activity

[edit]

I was going over the list of bots and noticed that NTBot (talk · contribs) has not edited in a very long time. Is this bot still active and if not, would you object to it being de-flagged? Please post your comments to Wikipedia_talk:Bots/Requests_for_approval#Dead_bots since this is a rather widely-posted message. MBisanz talk 01:10, 14 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference

[edit]

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being minor in the usual way.

For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. With the script in place, you can continue with this functionality indefinitely (its use is governed by WP:MINOR). If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 18:23, 15 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
