From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Boost was originally launched with coconut, not biscuit. Then they brought out peanut and biscuit varieties as alternatives. Gradually the biscuit variety took over and they dropped coconut and peanut completely. Peanut was later resurrected as "star bar", coconut was never seen again.

Article should mention when the coconut version was discontinued. I remember them being around in the very early 1990s.Paulturtle (talk) 01:38, 14 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

UK

[edit]

The standard (blue-wrapped) Boost in the UK does not contain guarana - I have a wrapper in front of me right now so I know I'm right on this! However, there is/was a green-wrapped variant that does contain guarana; I've edited the article to reflect this. The British Cadbury website [1] contains no reference to a caffeine-free Boost, so I've taken that out unless a reference can be provided. Loganberry (Talk) 00:04, 2 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Changes

[edit]

I removed the comment "This is possibly the most honest advertising slogan in history.", which followed the explanation of the advertising slogan, near the end of the article. I removed it on the grounds that it has no backing, is biased, and is not scholarly. Loki at6 07:44, 19 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Health Concerns

[edit]

Is this section really necessary? I mean, most junk food and candy will give you heart problems and make you obese, and most people are aware of it. And I'm sure that Boost isn't the only food to contain that ingredient. Moreover, the section is not sourced. M173627 (talk) 01:07, 11 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Added fair use images of packaging from Australia, if you can find images from UK and Ireland (etc), add to the gallery! Will help identify visually! - CertifiableNut (talk) 17:15, 20 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

More Pictures

[edit]

There’s only one photo on this page. I get the idea of what it looks like based on here and Google, but there are still quite a few variants and whatnot which can make it confusing. And I don’t know if the chocolate bar is supposed to only have one little biscuit because it changes depending what picture you look at. Cool879 (talk) 22:02, 18 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
