G protein redirects here, but from reading the text it is not clear to me what exactly G proteins are. All we learn is that G proteins are certain regulatory GTPases. Is there a more precise definition? Are all G proteins heterotrimeric?AxelBoldt 23:39 Jan 5, 2003 (UTC)

Sorry, no, not all G proteins are heterotrimeric. The G protein page, though somewhat informative, needs to be re-written. PFHLai 15:36, 2004 May 20 (UTC)

I added some standard reviews as references. Some of them are very old, but still are very informative. Also I removed the no reference tag.

I'm a little concerned about the correctness of the switch regulation equation, which seems to be wrong to me. AbsturZ, 2007 July 29
