  • The GamerWiki entry was removed from List of wikis and you referred to the GamerWiki page's deletion in June. There are other, similar, sites, listed on the List of wikis, and I would like to re-list it, but do not want it to just be deleted again. If there is policy being applied in this case, then others in the list should also be removed under the same criteria. Others in the list also have a page that I used as a template to describe the GamerWiki entry, so was confused as to why this was also deleted. -- Tyagi 00:17, 10 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
There was no formal policy being applied, no; my removal was prompted by your rewrite of the article and Weyes' comment on the vfd. A comparison of list of wikis to SwitchWiki shows that our article is not remotely meant to be exhaustive, though I'm not sure what its criteria are. I rather suspect that a wiki with 356 articles and an Alexa rank currently at 2.8 million falls short of the threshold, however. —Cryptic (talk) 12:12, 10 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, You might want to consider adding {{User NZ res}} to the top of your user page, which will add you to this category automatically and also add a nice graphic. Or simply add [[Category:Wikipedians in New Zealand]] which will have the same effect. If you want to help find fellow kiwis Click on this link [[1]] which will find all users who have "zealand" on their user page. I have done a few, but there are many more to do. Obviously don't just add it to everybody, read their user page to see if they actually live in NZ. Onco_p53 01:11, 1 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Invitation to an in-person meetup in Mohua / Golden Bay

[edit]
Golden Bay Air are holding some seats for us until 21 November

Thinking about your summer break? Think about joining other Wikipedians and Wikimedians in Golden Bay / Mohua! Details are on the meetup page. There's heaps of interesting stuff to work on e.g. the oldest extant waka or New Zealand's oldest ongoing legal case. Or you may spend your time taking photos and then upload them.

Golden Bay is hard to get to and the airline flying into Tākaka uses small planes, so we are holding some seats from and to Wellington and we are offering attendees a $200 travel subsidy to help with costs.

Be in touch with Schwede66 if this event interests you and you'd like to discuss logistics. Schwede66 09:14, 13 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
