Last appearances are only used for, well their last appearance, not their latest appearances. Since they're still making Godzilla films and there are no plans of stopping, last appearance is inappropriate to use in this article. You're taking the word "last" too literal here. In this context, Last appearance does not mean the same as "final" appearance, it means what was the most latest film the character appeared in. As of now, Godzilla's last appearance in any movie was Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters. There is no rule on Wiki's Manual of Style guidelines that state that "last appearances" should be removed, therefore, it should not be removed from the article. Do we list Godzilla's latest appearance as his last appearance, even though there are more films in production, or do we leave it blank until/unless the franchise is retired? JDDJS (talk) 19:34, 17 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Like I said, you're taking "last" appearance too literal. In this context, "last" does not mean the same as "final". It's like when someone asks you "when was the last time you saw this or that", it does not mean the "final" time you will ever see it, it means what was the "latest" you saw this or that.
