Recovering deleted page
My first page was deleted and I would like to recover it. I contacted couple of people from your list but no body got back to me. I will appreciate your help in recovering it as I need to continue working on it and get more experience with Wikipedia guidelines.
Much appreciated

A mistake has been done by you.[edit]

I started one important page on V. Balsara, a composer of Bollywood and Bengali language films. He received many prestigious awards and honours. But it has been removed by you. Please restore it if possible. The related Bengali language wiki page: here Some articles on him: |1, 2, 3, 4, 5 A prestigious award named after him. User talk page deleted... & restored[edit]

Hi, Jimfbleak. I have reverted your deletion of User talk:Sristy kumari Qalaai, which I assume was a mistake. JBW (talk) 16:17, 6 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

JBW mea culpa thanks Jimfbleak - talk to me? 19:53, 6 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think this draft should have been deleted as a copyright violation. Everything they copied from sacred-texts.com is in the public domain, from Smith (1918), and can alternatively be found here (a Google Books version of a 1908 publication). DanCherek (talk) 13:03, 7 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

DanCherek, thanks. I checked what the site said, as you would have seen in the edit summary, but wasn't aware of the 1908 book, I'll restore Jimfbleak - talk to me? 13:33, 7 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Conflicts of Interest - none.[edit]

Hello Jimfbleak. After creating the Confelicity political group page, I saw your message asking if I have any conflicts of interest. I don’t, other than living in the town where that party run their campaigns, if that counts. Same as for previous subjects - none of these were my employer nor companies I owned or people I knew.

Hope this clears any ambiguity up. Keep up the hard work! AdamWikiPeedo (talk) 14:13, 7 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

AdamWikiPeedo, thanks. Your article was deleted because it had no independent third-party sources, and a self-reference looks promotional. It also doesn't appear to be notable, with a restricted geographical area and no successful candidates. Just standing in an election isn't notable. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 07:49, 8 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I first saw this article when it was still in mainspace and I wanted to tag it for speedy deletion, but G11 seemed inappropriate because per WP:G11 it is meant only for blatant advertisements, and the article actually seemed reasonably neutral and encyclopaedic, while A7 seemed inappropriate because the article apparently included some coverage in reliable sources (this being of course a lower bar than notability as examined at AfD). All I could do, or so I thought, was tag it with Template:COI. This only adds an orange tag to the article, as opposed to for example Template:Copypaste which adds a red tag implying the content in question must be deleted promptly. So it was my understanding that there was no basis on which to speedy the article and it would have to be PRODed or AfDed. Did you delete it because the tone was overly promotional or was it because of the COI issue? Un assiolo (talk) 19:58, 9 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Un assiolo, thanks. I think there is an obvious COI and I have now done a COI-welcome on that editors page. Most of the refs were junk, but I agree that it's not a clear cut A7. I'm minded to rethink the G11, but I think I'll wait for a bit to see if there is any response from KPMN24 either about the deletion or COI. Is that acceptable to you? Jimfbleak - talk to me? 07:49, 10 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
If you think the G11 was justified, I don't really have any objections. I probably would have taken it to AfD had it survived in mainspace. Or it would have been G13ed had it remained a draft, given that the creator is blocked. I was just curious because to me it seemed like a G11 was not justified.
Note that KPMN24 is not the creator of the article, that would be Rampartschoir. KPMN24 is probably a sock meant to conceal the COI, see my SPI report. --Un assiolo (talk) 12:51, 10 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Un assiolo, in the circumstances, there is little incentive to reward a likely SP Jimfbleak - talk to me? 09:18, 11 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

This page was created back in 2019 and was reviewed short thereafter. There seemed to be quite a few contributors as well, not just one or two. I was reading the page when you deleted it. Was it really unambigous advertising or promotion? Maybe it can be reverted to the last non-advertising diff instead? Jonteemil (talk) 15:14, 10 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, Jonteemil, I've restored to the admin edit of 00:28, August 19, 2022, basically before the most prolific, now-blocked, spammer got going Jimfbleak - talk to me? 09:25, 11 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Jimfbleak, you recently deleted a page that I was creating for a former professor of mine, William E. Paterson. He sent me the text to create a page for him. Unfortunately, that text was very similar or the same as the one that Aston University in the UK used on its page for him. It was deleted for copyright reasons. Could you please allow me to have access to the deleted material again, so that I can amend it so that it does not infringe any copyright? MAny thanks! Some info:

Count.It Draft deletion[edit]

Hi Jimfbleak,

You deleted a draft I was doing on an app I use on my phone. URL: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Draft:Count.It_draft&action=edit&redlink=1

I'm learning how to do Wikipedia editing and I think I can now address the concerns raised for why it was deleted. I am going to retry but it is suggested that I reach out to you first. Is it best to create a new page or have this one available to edit?

Page Removal[edit]

Hello @Jimfbleak. I was informed you removed a page I'd created about the zero g coffee cup. I'd like to reapply the page for consideration as I believe its removal was unwarranted. I can correct any citations you specifically want removed, but having reviewed them, I have trouble seeing issue with them. All citations were from reputable primary sources, per the Wikipedia Reliable Sources page (these being, exclusively, the US Government Patent Office, NASA, and NatGeo), and were listed appropriately in all areas where potential subjectivity required a fact to back it up. I have no social, financial, or literal connection to this item - I am just a humble spaceflight and microgravity aficionado that thought it deserved its own page, seeing as it is literally the first item legally invented in space. Ever. If the ScrubDaddy can have its own Wikipedia page, this should too. Literally no one commercializes it either. I'd appreciate any further guidance on rectifying this removal and reinstating the page, as I think it deserves a little place in online history. I am here to support anything you may need from me on this. Thank you. Gspinty1 (talk) 22:40, 12 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
