Just out of curiosity, do you think there is any basis at all for anti-semitism? I mean Shakespeare's [Merchant of Venice]? paints an ugly picture of what a jew will willingly do and it points to avarice, a sin. Plus, there was a news report that all the suicide bombers actually bought all their ammunition and explosives from Isreali's. Just wondering.

while in the Talk page for Palestinians, you claimed that in March 2002 "all Arab members of Knesset were arrested."

The last two assertions are false (they are also ridiculous, but that is besides the point). I would like to see any basis whatsoever for them. The first--hinting that there is a basis for anti-Semitism because Shakespeare portrayed a Jew negatively is beyond ridiculous. It is anti-Semitic. Whatever your feelings on the Arab-Israeli conflict, please do not let it backslide into racist rhetoric. If it already has, I don't think Wikipedia is the place for it. Danny

The question is whether anti-semitism has any basis. Well, I am Jewish and I am greedy. Does this mean (a) that all Jews are greedy or (b) that greedy people should be shunned, etc.?

The other point, about buying arms from Israeli's. Maybe they did that on purpose just to use as "evidence" of Israeli avarice. Who knows? And who cares?

There is really only one issue: are the Israeli goverment's actions sufficiently "bad" to justify killing random civilians? Some (generally Arabs) say yes; some (mostly Jews) say no.

I'd like to see the 'pedia carefully adhere to the NPOV, and say things like

  • many Israel Jews, notably Mr. A, say B
  • some Arabs, such as Mr. C, have said D
  • other Arabs, such as Mr. E, have said F

It is my considered opinion that "Arab" is a troll. Comments such as the above have more the flavor a stereotypical or satirical "Arab" viewpoint than actual ones as recorded daily in press, Internet, and official sources. I believe this person is only trying to stir up trouble, and possibly anti-Arab feeling. I ask that he/she/it not be encouraged. -- April
