Linda (Shaniqua) Miles,

I am a university professor investigating the various forms of entertainment and art forms. Several months ago I had the opportunity to see Ms. Miles on WWE television special. I asked students in my classes to do research on her and follow her career. We have been able to collect severla magazine articles and some information on the internet but we can't seem to find out when and where she is wrestling. I would appreciate an update on her career as a wrestler.

Statistical data

[edit]

It is potentially controversial that I'm using sub pages to house the statistical data display for this player. This decision was motivated by pushback from wiki project basketball against the inclusion of totals as opposed to ratios. In an attempt to accommodate the desire to show mostly ratios, I created a table with ratios which is the table that will be initially shown to readers. Those readers will have a radio button where they can see the table for totals or they can view both. Those readers who do not want to see totals will not have to see them.

As noted on the sub pages themselves, I am aware that Wikipedia:Subpages prohibits the use of sub pages to hold material that is intended to be a permanent part of the encyclopedia. I haven't found the historical discussion that led to that conclusion, but it seems plausible that the consensus of editors was that we should never expect the reader to have to navigate to a sub page to see any material. Given that all the relevant material is transcluded into the article proper, this objection is moot. No reader will ever have to visit the sub page. An editor who identifies an error in the data and wishes to correct it will have to visit the subpage, but I presume that editors know how to access sub pages.

I am open to alternative discussions to find a way to provide the type of data available in many sources such as NCAA.org, stats.wnba.com/, and virtually all college media guides and record books.--S Philbrick(Talk) 13:16, 22 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
