Comment

[edit]

This reads a lot like a review of the CD, more than an encyclopedia entry Earl Andrew 05:37, 9 Mar 2004 (UTC)

I very much agree :P I wrote this when I was very very new to Wikipedia. I'll rewrite it, I promise :) Sarge Baldy 09:01, Mar 9, 2004 (UTC)

Orchestral Intro on White Flag

[edit]

Does anyone know if those few seconds at the beginning were written for the song, or lifted from elsewhere? - Darkhawk

A Bonus Track

[edit]

I've heard of a bonus track on some editions or promos. Can anyone confirm this and name the song?

answer

[edit]

The 12th (last) track on LIFE FOR RENT is a "bonus track", it seems; I am not sure of the name but it seems a continuation of 11th track. I found it by accident after seeing what appeared as a scratch on CD, which I assumed caused the 2-3 minutes of silence. Today, after splicing the tracks together I found realised that it may have been a "bonus track."

Enjoy! --Shelli

Yes, the song "Closer" follows "See the Sun". The minutes of silence are deliberate, though they irritate me greatly. By the by, I just noticed it's not on the "List of albums containing hidden tracks". Adding that now. Octavo 04:55, 13 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Closer

[edit]

Closer is the bonus/hidden track, but what's the background of this song? It doesn't sound like a high quality studio recording to me. Does anyone know?

does it contain sony's rootkit thing?

Fair use rationale for Image:Lfrd.jpg

[edit]

Image:Lfrd.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:03, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned references in Life for Rent

[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Life for Rent's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Sells in week vs. 5 days

[edit]

'It sold one million in 5 days, on the way there it sold 102,500 on day one and 400,351 in the first week on its way to the record.' Err, what? It sold 1,000,000 in 5 days, but only 400,351 in 7 days (a week)? 82.141.125.162 (talk) 00:51, 17 August 2010 (UTC)  Fixed TbhotchTalk C. 01:00, 17 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Since Allmusic have changed the syntax of their URLs, 1 link(s) used in the article do not work anymore and can't be migrated automatically. Please use the search option on http://www.allmusic.com to find the new location of the linked Allmusic article(s) and fix the link(s) accordingly, prefereably by using the {{Allmusic}} template. If a new location cannot be found, the link(s) should be removed. This applies to the following external links:
