Per a recent discussion on another page, the content of the Emony Dax article was merged into this article. That discussion included a strong recommendation that similar articles on the Dax hosts be merged into a single article so the reader can understand the full context. Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country

[edit]

The recent addition about the "Dax" character in Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country seems to me to be a bit much for just noting an unrelated character with the same name. The guy was just a sight gag after all, but his whole existence in Star Trek is now on this page.Algr 09:10, 7 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

okay, how is that character any more or less important than all the other "nobodys" on this site? Like this guy - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mat%C4%9Bj_Kopeck%C3%BD

I just get peeved when my work, what I typed and researced is flushed down the toilet and none of my original writing had survived in the "merger".

Blue Eyes?????

[edit]

Where is it stated that all the hosts of Dax have blue eyes? The only thing I remember that was common was the cold hands, and this was common amongst all Trill. ----Willie 08:57, 30 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Alternate hosts

[edit]

Yedrin Dax and Vrad Dax don't really belong in the same catagory. Yedrin Dax only existed in an Alternate timeline, which ceased to exist when Defiant escaped the planet. So in the existing timeline, there was no Yedrin Dax. Vrad Dax however, was and remained a Dax host, and the Dax Symbiant retained his memories, from the then on. 12.218.155.57 17:33, 21 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Merge etc.

[edit]

See Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Dax (Star Trek). There was discussion started during this deletion discussion regarding a possible merge of all the incarnations of Dax into this article, and/or additionally merging this article into List of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine characters. It would be good to continue discussion here. Sancho 23:21, 21 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:TV star trek ds9 the lives of dax.jpg

[edit]

Image:TV star trek ds9 the lives of dax.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

"Trill societal rules prohibit the re-association of past hosts" Yeah, I watched DS9, too. That isn't what was suggested to Dr Beverly, tho.... TREKphiler hit me ♠ 18:24, 6 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Merger of Curzon Dax

[edit]

I think its best to merge this article here. The character is never seen on DS9 except flashbacks and when possesing another character. The article is little more than a stub, and better suited here. Ejfetters (talk) 13:21, 25 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Tell host biography sources

[edit]

Please add info where all the hosts appear and where the information on their past is taken from. 93.175.23.26 (talk) 08:00, 12 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Why does "Trill" redirect here?

[edit]

This article is about a particular Trill, not the joined species...Hires an editor (talk) 11:24, 11 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I find your lack of images...wait, wrong universe...

[edit]

Anyway - the article could really use some images, is all I'm saying. Someone mentioned that there was a problem with fair-use, but why would that be a problem? This is an informative, non-commercial article, why would anyone have a problem?--178.168.50.2 (talk) 09:09, 28 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
