Kirkovo (Bulgarian: Кирково) is a village in Kardzhali Province, southern Bulgaria, near the Greek border.

The village is located 45 km south of Kardzhali, 43 km southwest of Krumovgrad, 31 km east of Zlatograd, and just 10 km from the Bulgarian-Greek border. With a population of around 720, it is situated in the Eastern Rhodopes at an elevation of 523 meters, characterized by plain and hilly terrain. The climate is transitional-Mediterranean, featuring relatively mild winters and hot, long summers. The Veykata mountain peak, at 1463 meters, is the highest point in the Eastern Rhodopes and marks Bulgaria's southernmost point. The construction of a new road through the Makaza pass, expected to be completed in 2011, will connect the region to Komotini, 33 km to the south. The village boasts a range of facilities including a municipal building, police station, health services, a professional high school, comprehensive school, kindergarten, community center, bank offices, pharmacy, drug store, hotel, holiday complex, and various shops. Local businesses mainly consist of private tradesmen in textile production, mechanical engineering, transportation, and logging. Tobacco farming is the primary livelihood, with additional cultivation of peppers and fruits.[1]
