Original source of info: Scientific American, July 2002, "Sweet medicines" hello you've righten that you can analyse glycoproteine with X-ray. maybe in very specifique condition but not normaly. glycane a there to cause a kind of sheilding to the proteine and are often very unstructered there for it wouldn't be possbible to analyse with X ray difraction. NMRwork but it's quite dificulte on proteine so only small ones. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.103.177.54 (talk) 11:56, 18 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Dynamic genomes

[edit]

"Unlike genomes, glycans are highly dynamic". Not only OR, but not true, consider eg. bacteria with all their mobile genome elements. InternetowyGołąb (talk) 20:54, 15 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
