Islamic inflammatory?

[edit]

It seems possible that the way that the page is written unnecessarily holds non-Islamic influences on Yoruba music in contempt. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Conformancenut347 (talkcontribs) 20:45, 27 February 2007 (UTC).[reply]

I agree with this viewpoint. In addition, the author seems to be a little vitriolic in his or her statements, such as the assertion that some viewpoint is "nonsense". It need not be argumentative - only factual (if the author has the facts!) If the author (as many viewers would likely believe) is of Yoruba descent, he or she represents them as rude even when there is absolutely no need to be. The article has a rather unfriendly tone. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Deebeemee (talkcontribs) 21:35, 21 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fanatics show restrain

[edit]

I would like to remind us that this is a topical issue refering to Yoruba music, if we have any theories let us please back this up with accurate inline citation. The real heroes of this topic seem to be left out in the cold here; the "gbedu"; if we want to start a debate i would be inclined to put music parsé in the thick of it, this is not a battlefield for scoring points on who did what for whoever; rather it is an opportunity for you to put the "real winners" out in the spotlight - Yoruba music.
