High Schools are not notable.

They can be notable. JarlaxleArtemis 00:17, Apr 16, 2005 (UTC)

Just to rub it in your face, Casito (O one who doesn't sign is name), I'll write an article about my own high school right now. JarlaxleArtemis 00:20, Apr 16, 2005 (UTC)

If Wikipedia is truly to be a source of good, solid information about just about everything, I don't see why high schools shouldn't be included. In fact, I will here encourage people to post articles on their own high schools as well.

Just because you haven't heard of a high school or don't like a high school doesn't mean it isn't notable. And even if it isn't notable (what does 'notable' mean anyways?), that still doesn't mean that Wikipedia should overlook it. To me, for example, there's a lot of nearly-useless information on Wikipedia, such as the article on vampire watermelons, but just because I don't have a use for it doesn't mean someone else won't. In fact, given how Wikipedia is quickly expanding to be a quite comprehensive--and easily updatable--worldwide public information resource, I can imagine parents of the future checking Wikipedia to check out the quality of high schools they plan to send children to, for example.

I don't know what the author means when he says that the middle school opened in 1977, because I attended the middle school in 1976. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bradwelljackson (talkcontribs) 12:45, August 30, 2007 (UTC)

Please, this is not a high school yard. The B word is not a word to be used in this encyclopedia.

disambig?

Shouldn't this page be a disamibuation page? Nova High School (Redding, California) and One in Seattle — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.238.189.9 (talk) 05:08, 26 April 2012 (UTC) No? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.238.189.9 (talk) 21:53, 5 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Should we include historical information regarding segregation and creation about the school?

[edit]

Nova High School began as a segregated school before desegregating. There's some more information in the reports linked below, but this information may add value to the article overall. There's also a bit in the first report about the school being advertised as a "school of the future," explaining why there's a giant space mural in one of the buildings.
