Please read this before posting, as I am an inactive contributor and hardly ever read my talk page:
  • If you want to delete an article I wrote - just do it. If you have a problem with a license of a photo I uploaded - just delete it.
  • Under no circumstances try to do some research to find a citation for what I did not cite.
  • If you still decide to do some research and improve an article, by no means go to a library. If you do not find it on Google - then it does not exist.
  • If you are torn between slapping a tag on an article and spending some time to remedy whatever the tag is about - do not think twice, just slap a tag! Truth be told, you already put a tag up and just sent your bot here to tell me that, so we're cool.

[edit]

Haha, yeah -- I can type properly on it, but it pretty much halves my typing rae and doubles my error rate -- so for the edit summary i didnt bother :) At the moment Im just bumming around the flat of the HC girl Im staying with, but in an hour or so Im going to Grande Arche and then going home. Ill probably see you tommorow sometime. - FrancisTyers 08:14, 15 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The Barnstar of Rescue
For an excellent job on saving El kondor pada from a sorry fate.

You managed to keep your cool on a very heated subject, write well, argue persuasively, and most importantly, did an excellent job of researching over several days. Well done. (I just got one of these things a few days ago, which is what gave me the idea; I hope you like it as much as I liked getting mine.) AnonEMouse 16:32, 10 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please see Wikipedia talk:Naming conventions (names and titles)#Ernest Aug. and constibute to the discussion there. I look forward to people assessing UE:should English be used in all these cases and how; would any sort of numeral be acceptable; what are the correct ordinals anyway; and Is there any other sustainable way to disambiguate these systematically. Death threat

[edit]

Please translate the death threat (made against you and now removed) for me so I know the meaning. I need that before I can deal with it. FearÉIREANN\(caint) 00:46, 28 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Making a death threat is a serious matter on WP. It earns an automatic permanent ban. But to place such a ban I need to know what the death threat was. Was it ambiguous or clearcut? Was it specific or general? The user has made other comments on user talk pages. Could you tell me if they too were threats? Once I know what was said then I can act on it. Please let me know. FearÉIREANN\(caint) 01:00, 28 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ulqini/Ulqin name

[edit]
Both names are correct, in Albanian, just grammatically different. In Albanian names change when used definitive form "Ulqini", but the indefinite form is "Ulqin". Furthermore, if you would translate a label "Memory from Ulqin" the tranlation would be "Kujtim nga Ulqini" (the ablative), but when you say "I live in ulqin" you translate it "Unë jetoj në Ulqin". Hope I did not confuse you further with this explanation. Grammar in Albanian is much more complicated than the English :). 10:56, 5 June 2006 (UTC)
you are welcome. ilir_pz 23:31, 5 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

By the way, check here and let me know what you think. If you care to give an opinion, it is appreciated. ilir_pz 00:55, 6 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Do not, if you think it is against the principles you posted above. Instead, it is about maintaing NPOV in the article. ilir_pz 00:56, 6 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding Pristina name, I responded in my talk page. Thanks for replying, ilir_pz 09:38, 7 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Tzv. moto Srbije

[edit]

Pozdrav. --Pockey 21:09, 10 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hvala. --Pockey 22:32, 20 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sad sam i ja to shvatio. Dakle, poslao sam im pismo za dozvolu. Hvala na odgovoru, pozdrav. --Pockey 18:32, 21 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Studentski protest

[edit]

I was shocked when I discovered that we didn't have an article on 1996-97 protests in Serbia. I started it as a stub, but it could really use expansion, and I'm short of time these days. If you're interested, it would be appreciated... Regards, Duja 09:57, 23 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Heck; RTFM: "Do invite me to help write an article". Well, I just did :-). Duja 10:00, 23 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Well, you should rewrite the sentence in question to accomodate for too quick ('n'dumb) readers like myself. :-).
Actually, I've dug up some decent sources already (in the Reference section), just, I'm to busy (and uninspired) to actually write the prose. Heck, this one almost cries for a copy-paste ;-(. Duja 13:05, 23 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Welsh

[edit]

Welsh is not an official language in the UK. English is not an official language of the UK. The UK does not have an official language. That is, there is no legislation the specifies what is and what isn't an official language. However Welsh along with, Irish Gaelic, Ulster Scots, Scots, Scottish Gaelic and Cornish are recognised as regional languages. See Languages_in_the_United_Kingdom and specifically Languages_in_the_United_Kingdom#Status. If you add the Welsh name of London then then these other languages would also have a claim to be included in the lead, and then others might argue that Gujarati, Arabic, and Hindi are more significant to these places than Welsh and so they would have to be included in the lead. Thank you. Jooler 16:52, 6 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Dcabrilo, can you contact Koraksić again and get an explicit PD release for this image, and then forward it to permissions@wikimedia.org? (See WP:COPYREQ for more info.) We're getting stricter about copyright requirements these days and I wouldn't want this image to be deleted for insufficient permission (which they often are)... Thanks! I did, and it didn't take any much work at all. :))) --PaxEquilibrium (talk) 19:01, 23 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Splitting Serbo-Croatian

[edit]

Did you even read what I suggested? Of course there would remain an article about the Serbo-Croatian language, one of the official languages of former Yugoslavia. And it wouldn’t be like splitting Bosnia and Herzegovina but like splitting America into America the continent (north or south) and USA. Mrcina (talk) 09:06, 14 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Conscription in Serbia

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Conscription in Serbia, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

the page has almost new contest and consists almost entirely of links to pages that don't exist

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Archaeopteryx (talk) 00:01, 8 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Obraz

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Obraz, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

This organisation is not a registered non-government organisation and is to be banned from public activities.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached.

Fair use rationale for File:Nadrealisti.png

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Nadrealisti.png. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Vanjagenije (talk) 12:14, 31 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:Novi fosili-cover.jpg

[edit]
⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Novi fosili-cover.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Aspects (talk) 23:17, 10 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for File:Alanford-sc.png

[edit]

Hey, it looks like this Alan Ford image is going to be deleted (check Talk:Alan_Ford_(comics)) if you dont fix the fair use rationale (it has to follow a template). I suggest you take this Steampunk cover template and modify it, so it doesnt get deleted. Luka666 (talk) 13:11, 11 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Elektricni Orgazam requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article consists of a dictionary definition or other article that has been transwikied to another project and the author information recorded.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Hello, I'm Dodger67. Your recent edit to the page Distance education appears to have added incorrect information, so I have removed it for now. If you believe the information was correct, please cite a reliable source or discuss your change on the article's talk page. The article Boris Mitić has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The subject does not meet WP:BIO, and there are no previous versions of the article that could be reverted to, as most of the information is unverified

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
