Missing section

[edit]

There is not a section for the IS-5! Add one or explain why here. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.60.116.143 (talk) 20:23, 25 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The IS-5 basically became the T-10. Gonna add sources to confirm this in a bit. - MTWEmperor (talkcontribs) 06:04, 9 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Auto/assisted Loader : IS-7

[edit]

The page cited for the IS-7 states of a "semi-automatic" loader, not a true autoloader [1]. You can see how the system operates in the video here, starting at 4:09 [2] This should justify a need to change the wording from "Autoloader" to "assisted loader"

T-10 is IS-8

[edit]

Russian Wiki and many other Russian sources (for example https://warspot.ru/4474-posledniy-sovetskiy-tyazheloves) claim that T-10 was IS-8, not IS-10. IS-8 was renamed T-10 because it was the tenth heavy tank in Soviet service (after T-35, KV-1, KV-2, KV-1S, KV-85, IS-1, IS-2, IS-3 and IS-4). Is it possible to rename it in the article? Also, when I try to look up "ИС-10" (in Russian), the only results are IS-10 resistance meter (which is definitely not the IS-10 tank) or very old web articles (apprx. 2006-2011). All newer articles claim that T-10 is IS-8. Alexey CT (talk) 18:32, 19 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
