JOnes on Public Policy

[edit]

Jones on public policy https://books.google.fi/books/about/An_Introduction_to_the_Study_of_Public_P.html?id=-pZHAAAAMAAJ&redir_esc=y has 4 categories:

1 is Incrementalism - gradual changes to a system 2 Reformism - radical change which is not violent revolution, yet is uncompromising and makes major reform and change.

It is not clear that these differences are in this article - my guess is that at different times and by different people reform and reformist and reforming have been used in different ways. This makes understanding this article as is impossible. It is vague and needs clear usage quotes and dates for sense to be made of it. For example if you are carrying out incrementalist reform you are a reformer who is reforming, but this is not reformist. I doubt most non academic and even many academic users would easily understand these nuances of meaning by the use of these words.
