CERO Rating Example

[edit]

Can you please put all of the example back on? All of them are essential and they don't clog up article. Your not fair.69.131.127.236 (talk) 11:40, 10 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The reason why is because there is a high risk of edit warring when we list examples. One person may want to promote their game by listing it on Examples. Furthermore, do you think we need up to 20 examples per rating? Cutecutecuteface2000 (talk) 02:34, 11 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Examples can be added if we find reliable commentary on the rating of the game. That way there is a clear indication why this game is a good one to rate. I think Persona 3 might have some due to the difference in ESRB vs. CERO. Other titles like that are good examples to look for. There are a number of Z titles from Microsoft that have plenty of commentary (but we don't need to list them all).Jinnai 03:44, 11 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

We really need those. Can you just lock the article so no one can add more? But please put all of the example back on first.69.131.127.21 (talk) 20:19, 11 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

That's not how we decide things here. I gave a way you and others could get some examples added.Jinnai 20:20, 11 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

But We Really need all of these example. How will people know that games like Dragon Quest or Okami can be play by children in Japan? Hey Cutecutecuteface2000 are you a girl or a boy? I know this is off topic. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.131.127.21 (talk) 20:38, 11 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

For the first question, they could look up the ratings on a video game article. For the second question, I'm a boy. Cutecutecuteface2000 (talk) 20:44, 11 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • The page is now protected to stop the edit war. I find it ironic that one of the participants warned the other for edit warring while continuing to engage it in it themselves. Edit warring is always the wrong thing to do. If you can't resolve this during the time the article is protected, pursue dispute resolution, but please don't edit war again. It will most likely only result in all participants being blocked so it is really not worth it. 20:58, 11 November 2011 (UTC)

Can you put all of the example back on please?69.131.127.165 (talk) 15:09, 14 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I explained a way to have examples used that could be supported. Putting them in without that is just making items that you or someone else feels needs to be promoted as "good" examples. That's not what Wikipedia does.Jinnai 18:42, 14 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The section about differences in ratings needs editing. Samurai shodown sen and god hand are used as examples of games that are B/M rated but the japanese version of god hand removes the decapitations and samurai shodown sen removes all the blood and gore so they arn't really comparable. Similarly, it cites no more heroes as an example of similar ratings between cultures but the european and japanese versions remove the blood and gore so arn't comparable.--94.193.66.60 (talk) 12:28, 21 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

In mobile games?

[edit]

I am not sure if Japanese mobile games would be given CERO rating. 152.32.104.224 (talk) 07:04, 25 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
